It carries enough bittering strength to hold its own in early additions while still delivering striking flavor and aroma when used late in the boil or in dry hopping. Available in pellet form by the ounce, Rakau suits a wide range of brewing applications from clean bittering through to aroma-forward finishes. It's well matched to IPAs, Double IPAs, Pale Ales, and American Amber Ales where resinous depth and fruit complexity are welcome.
