White Labs | WLP810 San Francisco Lager Yeast | PurePitch® Next Generation

White Labs | WLP810 San Francisco Lager Yeast | PurePitch® Next Generation

WLP810 San Francisco Lager Yeast is a uniquely versatile lager strain that ferments at warmer temperatures — 58–65°F (14–18°C) — while retaining clean, lager-like characteristics. Most lager yeasts require cold fermentation (45–55°F) and long lagering times; WLP810 is the exception, making it far more accessible for homebrewers without dedicated cold fermentation equipment.

This is the traditional strain used for California Common (also known as steam beer) — a uniquely American hybrid style that uses lager yeast at ale fermentation temperatures. At the lower end of its range, it can also produce Märzens, Pilsners, and Helles-style lagers.

Attenuation: 70–75%
Flocculation: High
Alcohol Tolerance: Medium (5–10%)
Fermentation Temp: 58–65°F (14–18°C)
STA1: Negative
